Lee's Chapel UM Women are excited to announce the launch of Girlfriends Unlimited, a new ministry aimed at connecting women and helping them to establish meaningful relationships. We are eager to help women understand the importance of taking time for themselves and establishing "girlfriends".
Girlfriends' Night Out, which includes crafts, singing, games, and most importantly pampering, is a way to connect. Girlfriends Unlimited gives women a new way to relate to their church and to other women in their church. By inviting women from outside the church, this ministry becomes an outreach. Our first night out was held Friday,
October 3, 2008. Our next night out will be held in January 2009.
Women are very busy today with their careers, family, and things like volunteering that they rarely take time for themselves. This ministry is all about having fun, giggling, and getting to know other women. Part of how we do this is by establishing shared-interest groups. We have two established G-Groups: Flick Chicks (dinner and a movie) or Lit and Latte (a book club). Connect with other women with the same passion… or try something new. Girlfriends Unlimited is a worldwide women's ministry program ultimately focused on building and strengthening women's relationships with Jesus Christ. Women are drawn into a growing relationship with each other and with Christ. Please pray for this ministry and how you can be a vital part of it.
